Book Review: Banshee (House of Crimson & Clover Novel)

It should be noted that I received this short story free to review it.  I have always loved this series and have reviewed almost every novel in it, so I was thrilled to get Banshee!

Where to start...

This was a short story written about one of the characters named Giselle Deschanel.  Now, if you know anything about this particular family, you would know that they are anything but ordinary.  This story starts out with tragedy, and for a short read (I read it in about a half hour) it takes you on a journey that both gives you hope & breaks your heart.  I can't go into too much detail, very little can be said without giving things away.  I will say, for those that thought being a banshee would be fun or amazing, there are two sides to every story.

Told through Giselle's point of view, you see the inner struggle she has to face and the choices that seem so easy, but have such dire consequences.  Beautifully written by a master story teller like Sarah, it is easy to feel the pain, loss, and most importantly, hope that Giselle feels.  This is a story you should definitely be reading if you follow this series...
