E3 News Nintendo's Digital Event!!!

So I was hoping to be wowed.  I wasn't.  Not even a little bit.  I guess had I been 12 that might be a different story, but this year's event, much like last year's, was lackluster to say the least.  They didn't even do a conference, they did a "Digital Event".  Whatever the hell that means.  Oh and the biggest offender?  It was done in Robot Chicken theme.  A bad version of Robot Chicken.

So let's get to the games (err game) they truly featured:

Super Smash Bros

Let's not pretend we don't know that this was their biggest release this year.  Due to come out later this year, for the holiday, on 3DS and WiiU.  The biggest new feature for this game?  You can put a toy figure on the console and it will digitally add them to your game.  Oh and send feedback to said toy so you can advance the toy for future games.  Yep, you read that right.

The feature is called Amiibo and is the process of adding the toy to the console and having the feedback sent to the figure.  Kind of a cool concept, but don't expect there to be any third party additions to this.  I just don't see that being a thing.

Yoshi Yarn Game

This was kinda cute, but again made for a younger client base.  This seemed to be the theme of the night for Nintendo.  It's an exploration game that is just sorta action fun.  Nothing too far fetched in terms of imagination on this one.

The Legend of Zelda

This is set to launch sometime next year and although we were shown a screen shot of what a part of the world looks like, and it's beautiful, we didn't get much else.  I really wanted to see a trailer or something, but it never came.

Pokemon:  Omega Ruby & Alpha Saphire

Looks cute!  It is set to launch on 11/21/14.  It is what you expect from a Pokemon game.  Super fun graphics with a fun feel.  I dig Pokemon, but I loved them more when I was younger.

I gotta say, this was the shining beacon when it came to the Digital Event.  It looks like a fun way to make a gang like game and kill others using paint.  =)  Honestly it was totally captivating and my favorite thing out of this event.  Coming 2015!

Other Games Coming:

Hyrule Warriors
Kirby for the WiiU
Mario Maker

So that was it folks.  No seriously, that was it.  I was not impressed.
