Dom Wars Rounds One & Two Reviews!!!!

Publication Date:  2/27/14

Lucian Bane’s inner Dom is out of control and hungry for things he can’t name. When he signs up for Dom Wars, he meets Tara who is naive to the BDSM world. Her reckless dominance and puritan heart fascinate him. But when he discovers the pain in her past, it unleashes his true Dom within.

I was so stoked about this series from the time I heard about it!  This was a unique experience, Lucian allows us to catch a glimpse into the journey of becoming a Dom with a soul.  He is charming and funny and tender.  This was a super easy read for me because the minute I picked up the book, I couldn't put it down.  You really need to experience the Dom Wars just to see how genuine it feels.  I felt like Tara's character was written from a place of love and passion, and if you read his interview with me, you will see that she is.

I felt like Lucian put a knife through the typical stereotypes that we have come to expect from not only our Doms, but also a male writers.  I love that there is vulnerability and honesty in his writing, and in his characters.

Lucian Bane came into the super saturated genre of BDSM, and turned it on its head!  I LOVE this series!

I give Dom Wars Round One a solid 4.5 sexy as hell lipsticks!!!  Is it bad that I would totally watch Dom Wars if it were a real Reality Show???  =)

Publication Date:  3/20/14

Lucian Bane and Tara Reese have made it to round two in DOM WARS. The challenges now revolve around trust and while Tara's inhibitions in the world of BDSM are crushed by his passion, her deep rooted fears become the real obstacle he must dominate.

This series just blows my mind, Lucian takes his characters to a whole new level and shows even deeper sides to them.  I cannot wait to read Dom Wars Rounds 3-6!!!!  It is beautiful and so amazing to follow this journey!

I give it 5 Lipsticks!!!!

There is someone who is so much better at putting this all into words, my friend Michele Eslick, who has given a few guest reviews on here is her remarkable review of Dom Wars Round Two!

Trust is so fragile and yet it's the only thing that can slay the hero's demons.

Lucian Bane has done it again! I LOVE this series! It's very real and raw and full of emotion. He paints such a beautiful picture. I love the gorgeous, flawed, deeply grooved characters. They are so complex and I know that I've just scratched the surface of knowing them. I want to know more. Have you ever had a worn out recording that you hear something for the first time, when listening to the song for the hundredth time and it surprises you? That's how I feel about the characters in this series. I feel as though I've just gotten to know them and another layer is peeled back, laid bare for me to feast on. The way the author writes women is spectacular! The author's love and respect for women always shines through, so beautifully in his writing.

If this book had a theme, it would be the fleeting nature of trust. It makes you examine it with a fine tooth comb. What is happening here? They're put through such a fast-paced relationship, it's electrifying. It was as if trust was just grasped with both hands, but held too tightly and it squished away, like clay in a fist. But you SO want Tara and Lucian to make the beautiful vase out of that clay.

And I love the prose. Such a unique voice, this author has. Quickly emerging as one of my favorites! Make no mistake, this book is HOT! But the sex is always beautifully, emotionally and purposefully written. It really rocks my world! Lucian is so hungry for Tara's trust, his hunger is like another character in the book. It grows and shifts, vacillating between moments of extreme frustration and sweet satiation. I love the moments of sweetness in the book, it's like a balm for the angst the characters feel and that the reader experiences right along with them. I can't wait for Dom Wars Round Three!
