Ryder (The Scorpions MC Prequel) Review!!!

Published 1/27/14

Two worlds colliding. Will it tear them apart?
All Jade ever wants is an intelligent, well-mannered, and highly educated man like her daddy. One who has stellar career prospects as he climbs the corporate ladder to success. A good provider who will give her a stable life and a gorgeous house in the right neighborhood. A charmed life.
Everything orderly and well balanced.
Her perfect match.
What she doesn't want is a smartass, cocky, rough-around-the-edges biker. One who has tattoos and piercings, and looks like a sex god. One who is demanding and controlling. The ultimate alpha male who storms into her life and shakes her to the core.
Jade never saw it coming. Ryder is the one man she can’t resist. He shows her what she really needs. Him.

All Ryder wants is inner peace. Freedom from the hatred churning in his gut.
Since his mother deserted him, his life has turned to sh*t.
He’s killed a man, lost his brother and fought for his survival. All before turning twelve.
Saved by Razor and Cobra, sons of the Scorpions, he owes his life and allegiance to them. The Scorpion MC is his only family. One he will serve and protect till his dying breath.
What he doesn't need in his life is a smart mouthed woman who thinks she’s better than him. One who pushes every one of his buttons. One who challenges him to want to be more than a drifter. One who makes him question everything he’s ever known.
Ryder never saw it coming. He can’t get Jade out of his head. She shows him what he really wants. Her.
Ryder wants Jade beneath him. Submitting to him and only him.
“I’m addicted to the taste of you, baby. Your skin. Your mouth. Your pussy. Give it to me. All of it. I want it all.” ~ Ryder
Jade has other plans that don’t include badass biker boys.
“A perfect man is none existent. So I wasn't waiting for a perfect man. I was just waiting for the man who was perfect for me.” ~ Jade
Can two people, so different in every way, find love? Or will their different worlds collide and tear them apart?

I love MC books.  But this one was super tame and I don't understand why this wasn't a full length book right off the bat.  I liked the characters and I liked that there is an interesting back story to Ryder.  I just wish it was full length and edgier.

Jade is a spoiled princess.  No joke, even I thought she was a stuck up bitch the first time I was introduced to her.  She has this "I'm so much better than you" attitude and it was a huge turn off to her character at first.  Then I tried to see things through her eyes and understood she probably was just so sheltered she didn't know how to really deal with anyone different than her.

Ryder is smoking hot!  He is a good guy from the wrong side of the tracks.  His back story is interesting in that he wasn't abused as much as just abandoned and saved by the MC he has become a part of.  His dad was actually abusive towards his brother, who incidentally had a better life than Ryder after he was adopted.  I felt for this guy.  But also knowing what he is doing and why he needs to rent this house under the radar helped me love him a little more.

The book is good.  It's actually very good, but it felt like it just abruptly ended and that was hard for me.  I need a gradual finish people...

I give it 3 lipsticks!  I know I will love this series, I just need to read more of it!
