Seize Me (Breakneck #1) Book Review!

This novel contains explicit language, sex, drugs, abuse and sexual situations that some might find offensive.

Winter Belov was the sweet innocent one in her crime family, the dutiful daughter that never disappointed her father. One day, her father does the unspeakable. When he turns his back, Winter flees across the country, taking her life savings with her, determined never to enter that sort of lifestyle again.
No longer innocent, she now lives in Nevada. Lana is her best friend and the only family Winter has. Together, they are two of the best exotic dancers in the county. While working a shift, Pyro, Lana’s long time crush, propositions Winter. He begs her to do a private gig at Breakneck. She accepts, with the condition that Lana dances with her.
When Winter’s eyes lock with Braxxon Breaker's, the President of Breakneck, she realizes she is no longer free; she has been seized. He is everything she is running from but at the same time, everything she wants. Braxxon will not take no for an answer, and purposely disrupts Winter’s life.
Rivals of Braxxon’s club are vicious and they do something that will have him out for blood. Winter's and Braxxon’s relationship is anything but a normal one. If they want to be together, crimes must be committed, friendships will be broken and people are going to die.
What happens when all that chaos mixes with Winter’s father locating her? It will be a bloodshed when Winter and Braxxon seek revenge and take no prisoners.

For readers 18 & up only!

So this gem was recommended to me by my bestie Dawn when I asked for a gritty and dark MC book.  HOLY HELL!  Dawn you did good!

Winter, who's stage name is is Star, has run away from her father's home after he kills the only man she has ever loved.  And when I say she ran, I mean all the way across the country.  She has taken her dance background and turned herself into a stripper and made a new best friend in Lana, stage name Hazel.  Lana has taught her the ropes and knows everything about her.

We start the story when the girls are dancing at the club and a local MC VP walks in and wants them to dance for their President's birthday.  Of course Winter is not up for this idea at all and she has no problems telling Pyro no.  But with some coaxing and maybe a few heel digs from Lana, Winter changes her mind and also changes her fate.

Breakneck is a dangerous place to be.  The girls have an unfortunate traveling incident and because of a harmless breakdown a war breaks out.  Everyone is in lockdown and Winter and Lana have become part of the MC world.  Lana becoming the VP Pyro's. and Winter becoming the President Braxxon's.  Needless to say there is a lot going on in this world and I am done spoiling =)  Let me just say this as a warning though, it gets crazy dark.  You should know not everything is wine and roses.  Not even close.

I have a few issues that are minor with the book.  One, things aren't fully explained.  Two, I wanted to know more about the relationship with Winter's father.  Why would she think her life was so horrible if she had everything and her father doted on her?  It just made no sense.  But there is a second book and I am totally reading it!

I loved it.  I really did.  I give it 4.5 lipsticks!
