Sin At Sea (A Sinful Novella) Review

When Alysin decided to surprise her boyfriend at work with dinner, the surprise was on her. Since he was going at it with his secretary on the conference table, she packed a bag and called her BFF. Jolie and Alysin had been traveling the country, working as digital nomads for ten years ever since graduation. Taking this as a sign it was time for a new move, they decided to take a cruise, regroup, and make a plan.

Then she meets Mr. Bedroom Eyes. Following her lead, they pretend to be married so that she can rid herself of the guy who started hitting on her before the boat left the dock. Though it was supposed to be a momentary arrangement, he asks her to take it one step farther. Then another and another. The cruise promises to be memorable in every way that matters.

Along the way, Alysin learns that she won't have to fake an orgasm if she's with someone who knows what to do, that not all men suck, but the best ones suck really well, and that sometimes what starts out as something pretend, can fast become something completely real. Will the woman who lives life with no regrets, regret that she made that stupid rule about not exchanging names and contact info?

So I actually had wanted to read this book at launch and forgot to pick it up, turns out though I won it during one of the opening week blog tour giveaways.  So that pretty much started out my love for this novella!

Alysin who is affectionately known as Sin, which I LOVE, is a little spitfire daredevil who does the things we all wish we could do.  She says exactly what is on her mind, picks up and moves on whenever the mood strikes her, and she is fearless in pretty much every way a person can be fearless.

Sin walks in on her boyfriend going to town on his secretary and decides to wait for him and her to finish (no joke, I actually laughed so hard I had tears) so that she can let him know that she saw what happened and is not sticking around for any more.  She had brought him dinner as a surprise and even after finding them in a compromising position, laid the food out, lit the candles, poured the wine and waited.  It was probably the most classic thing I have read in a long time.

When most of us girls in real life would have been devastated, Sin merely acknowledges her boyfriends a ass and moves on.  I loved it.  So she grabs her bestie and gets on a boat.  They can work from anywhere, being what Sin calls Digital Nomads, so when one of them wants to move on, they both do it as a sign of solidarity.  I love that too.

Sin's night gets steamy when her bestie Jolie wants to play.  A night of passion to kick start a brand new beginning is what Sin needs and it is an incredibly sexy scene.  The next day they are off on a vacation.  A vacation that has Sin meeting Mr. BE (Bedroom Eyes).  Mr. BE saves her from a skeezy man who was hitting on her by pretending to be her husband.  But no matter how attracted she is to him, there can never be anything between them.  No names, no contact info, no relationship.  They have one week together as "Husband and Wife".  It is a fantastic and sexy as hell week!

There is more to the story, but once they get off the boat they are heading to Sin City.  How appropriate will that be?  And the most awesome part?  Mr. BE will be waiting for Sin....

I give this steamy little gem a 4.25 stars!  The swinger scene alone is worth that....=)
