Why Beauty and Books?

So I get this question a lot and I thought I would finally address it.

Why would anyone have a book review and beauty tip site together?

The answer is actually pretty simple, it reflects me and how I feel that you should have your body, mind, and soul taken care of.  Let me elaborate a bit.

When I became an Esthetician I knew my career path was chosen.  At least my 9-5 job was, I am good at what I do and I know how to train others to be just as good.  I could help people when they felt a little overwhelmed by the beauty world.  It can be a huge undertaking for some, who have never thought of beauty as important but now suddenly felt the need to do something.

For me, giving advice on beauty is another way I can just give back.  Trust me when I tell you there is no better feeling than when someone looks at me and says they are grateful that I could help them.  It's a bit selfish in a way, but damn can it be a serious high.  I love doing that.  I love when I am in a classroom of estee students and a student has an aha moment.  That moment when you realize you finally got through and they get it.  Another high.

Books and reading in general feed your mind.  How else can you visit other lands, time periods, and species?  If you think about it, regardless of the genre, books are meant to make you think and feel.  It feeds both your mind and soul during the reading.  I love being so lost in a book that I look up at a clock and realize I have been at it for hours.  I have been known to skip meals and sleep just so I can find out what happens.  I love that feeling.

So beauty and books were the perfect blend if you think about it.  If you break down some of my tabs you will see other passions.  Music, Movies, soon there will be a poetry section and art section and fashion section, gorgeous men.  All these things are meant to give you and me a total experience.  I benefit from this blog just as much, if not more, than you do.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for stopping by to visit.  I love to see what people have to say and although I don't get a lot of comments I am always open to talk to.  You can comment below or email me at breezy.kirkpatrick@gmail.com.  I hope you enjoy this blog as much as I enjoy making it and posting to it.

Much love,

~B~
