Women Who Run With the Wolves

This is not a review.  This is a highly suggested novel for any woman at any time in her life.  I received this book a while back and refused to read it.  It just wasn't my thing.  But one day, not long ago, I picked it up to find that I was in a place in my life where I needed to hear the stories and the folk tales.

To see women throughout generations that were strong and capable and powerful.  They gave me strength in a time when I needed it most.  This book tells about women who struggle with life and how they overcome it.  How running a family, building a career, going through a heartbreak, is all common issues.  And how, as women, we can stay empowered and focused.

Some of the stories are funny.  Some are deep and profound.  And some will break your heart.  But I highly recommend you read it.  If for no other reason, than to gain insight and prospective on life.  It is meant to make you think about you, about your life, your struggles and what you want out of all of that.  It makes you feel more human than you can imagine.  I have heard many times, including from the woman who gave me the book as a present when I got married, that it saved their lives.

What would you be like if you could get past what you think you are "supposed to be" and focus on what you feel you should be?

This is a no brainer for me, 5 lipsticks doesn't even do this book justice.  That is how much I believe in it!
