2018 Microsoft E3 Conference!

So this was all about what was coming to XBOX.  I gotta say, it was a solid presentation for everyone of the games, not so much for Microsoft.

Here are some of the interesting things they showed...

Halo Infinite.
They started the show with this trailer, but never talked about it again.  Very odd.  But it looks good!

Ori and the Will of the Wisps.
This is the sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest, it looks so beautiful and I cannot wait to get my hands on it!

Fallout 76
Another Fallout game, and although I am not a huge fan of this series, I know a lot of people are.  So here you go, enjoy!

Kingdom Hearts III
I am, however, totally stoked about this one!  It looks awesome and so crisp!  I cannot wait for this game to come out!

The Division 2
Again, super stoked about this one!  The only question I really have is, why are we now forced to have a specialization?  Check out the game play video below!

Devil May Cry 5
It's been a minute since we have seen a new DMC game, and this one looks beautiful!

Dying Light 2
I didn't play the first one, so maybe now is the time to get that done.  Check it out!

Gears of War 5
I watched as my husband got all sorts of giddy watching this trailer!  You should check it out!

And Finally...

Cyberpunk 2077
I have been totally intrigued by this game since the first teaser trailer dropped a few years back!  I was super excited to see what they had in store for us with the new trailer.  One downside?  No release date yet.  =/

There was so much more that you should totally check out!  Including..
Sekiro Shadows Die Twice, The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, Crackdown 3, Metro: Exodus, Sea of Thieves Cursed Sails and Forsaken Shores, Battlefield V, Forza Horizon 4, We Happy Few, Player Unknown's Battlegrounds, Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Just Cause 4, & Cuphead The Delicious Last Course to name a few!

Electronic Arts E3 Conference!

So E3 Started and EA kicked it off...

They didn't really cover a whole lot, but here are some of the highlights!

1.  FIFA 19, Madden 19, & NBA Live 19 are all thing again.  Game play looks amazing, but this is sort of EA's niche.  I don't personally play the sports games, but if you do, they are beautiful and very real looking.

2.  Battlefield V is coming.  And it is so awesome!

3.  The Indy Games are incredibly cool!  Unravel came out in February 2016, and Coldwood Interactive brought us Unravel Two and it is out and ready to play!  It looks so good.

Also there is a little company called Jo-Mei Games that showed off their beautiful game as well, Sea of Solitude aka SOS.

4.  A few odds and ends were also in this conference.  For instance, a very awkward mini interview with Vince Zampella from Respawn Entertainment about the newest Star Wars game called Star Wars:  Jedi Fallen Order.  There was no game play, just talking about how it is a thing that is happening and that it wouldn't be out until Quarter 4 2019.  So there's that.

Also, there was the mobile game Command & Conquer Rivals

5.  Orgin Access Premier
This is really kind of cool in that this is a premium version of the already existing Orgin Access, but with the new releases added.  They didn't give a price point yet, but the concept sounds pretty sweet...

6.  The last and to be honest the coolest thing that EA showed at this conference was the new game ANTHEM.  I personally cannot wait to get my hands on this and try out the Interceptor character.  There are 4 characters you can choose from and then you can customize the hell out of them.  Plus I really loved that they said there will be no loot boxes in this game.  Check out the amazing trailer below!

And the game play video, although this seems really edited.

Romance Between the Pages Podcast with Special Guest Alyssa Day!

Ever wondered about the personalities behind your favorite books? Victoria Danann's new podcast with Riley J. Ford has an incredible lineup of authors booked through the spring. No question is out of bounds. Check it out!

Alyssa Day is the pen name (and dark and tortured alter ego) of author Alesia Holliday. As Alyssa, she is a New York Times and USA Today best-selling author, and she writes the Warriors of Poseidon and Cardinal Witches paranormal romance series and the Tiger’s Eye Mysteries, a paranormal mystery series. As Alesia, she writes comedies that make readers snort things out of their noses, and is the author of the award-winning memoir about military families during war-time deployments: Email to the Front. She has won many awards for her writing, including Romance Writers of America’s prestigious RITA award for outstanding romance fiction and the RT Book Reviews Reviewer’s Choice Award for Best Paranormal Romance novel of 2012.

Alyssa is a diehard Buckeye who graduated summa cum laude from Capital University Law School and practiced as a trial lawyer in multi-million dollar litigation for several years before coming to her senses and letting the voices in her head loose on paper. She has lived all over the country, including Florida, Mississippi, Washington state, Ohio, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Colorado, Illinois, Texas, Alaska, Michigan, Virginia—and she has lived all over the world: the Philippines, Turkey, and Japan. She loves to travel, and just got back from a cruise to Cozumel (lovely! Wine on our balcony!) and an adventure with a group of high school art students to London, Paris (my favorite city in the world!) and Rome. She currently lives somewhere near an ocean with her Navy Guy husband, two kids, and any number of rescue dogs.
